I attended A&E with my 97 year old Nan following a GP referral. We expected long waiting times due to the time of year, however during triage the lovely nurse found my nana a trolley to wait on rather than sitting her back in the waiting room chairs. I could see immediately how busy and overstretched all the staff were but not once did this alter the care given. They were very friendly and attentive and despite being non stop tried their best to get patients seen promptly. My Nan is very pleased with the care she received and I can only thank the staff (they deserve much more) for taking care of her and getting her home as quickly and safely as possible! The A&E nurses, Doctors and HCA’s are a credit to FGH and the NHS. Thanks again!
