"Dismissive"

About: Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

I attended the Widnes urgent care centre this morning as I was concerned about a pain under my armpit. I struggle with cysts and wanted to check everything was okay as an infection is not good for my diabetes. Upon arrival the receptionist was lovely and booked me in very quickly. I was called in to triage where the nurse made me feel stupid. I’ve seen her several times and she always makes me feel like I’m unable to attend the walk in. Last time I attended I was later taken to hospital and put on a drip after she had dismissed me. I was very briefly looked at by a nurse and after mentioning that I feel a may have a chest infection starting they didn’t even bother to check this out. I left feeling rather upset and like I’m not entitled to any help from the urgent care because according to the triage nurse ‘I am under the hospital so they cannot do anything for me’. Absolutely awful and I really don’t recommend attending the Widnes urgent care unless you want to leave feeling worse than when you went in!
