On entering ,A&E department. Confusions as to where the line was for queuing system needs to be visual to all patients. Babies and children must be a priority when in great distress or pain. Unnecessary non emergencies were very apparent. The NHS A&E department must have a better system put in place for a section for a non emergency walk in section as they come in the door. This would cut down the waiting time by 80% . The experience from security was below average. Lack of reception staff. Once being taken through to children unit. The wait was warranted as for further observation was much needed the staff were amazing and thorough and caring. My grandson was in the best place for his condition. I just wish these babies and children and elderly were given prompt assessments in the first place instead of time wasters that I identified in the time I spent there.
