Summer 2018 I sadly found out at 16 weeks pregnant that my baby had a rare skeletol dysplasia and wouldn't make it. In March 2019 I found out I was pregnant again and was understandably very anxious. I was assigned a midwife named Sharon who works for fetal medicine at the Victoria hospital Kirkcaldy. She was so understanding. I was offered extra scans to put my mind at ease and having someone who knew my background meant I didn't have to explain things to different people. Sharon and Dr Russell even popped in to congratulate us when my son was born last month.
Mentally I wouldn't have managed that 9 months as well as I did had it not been for the support of the team.
I would also like to mention the amazing ladies who took care of me after my csection, sitting with my baby and I teaching us how to feed comfortably and sitting with me for ages rubbing my babies back.
You are all truly amazing!!
