"Waste of time"

Arrived after trying to see my gp following a car accident but was told to go to A&E.

Didn't seem busy, tho plenty of staff about.

After over an hour waiting, asked for an ice pack to help with pain and inflammation. To be told that's not something they can offer but they would see what they could do otherwise.

A further 20 mins and I got up to leave as was too uncomfortable. Stood at the desk to let them know but they were too busy chatting to notice. After getting their attention I explained that I'd be much more comfortable at home resting with an ice pack. They offered pain relief but I explained I was already taking morphine. They suggested codeine- which I also have at home.
