"Excellent customer service at Breast Screening Unit"

I attended the Breast Screening Unit's Family History Clinic on at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. Having lost my mother to Breast Cancer, I attend this clinic and also for mammograms on an annual basis. I dreaded going in and my anxiety heightened as I parked the car. I was met by the smiling receptionist who immediately put me at ease with her friendly manner, I can't recall her name.   Whilst in the waiting area, a nurse came through, introduced herself as Caroline and showed me through to the clinic, all the while chatting and asking about my day and plans for christmas etc. Caroline's approach to me was friendly and I felt calm, which truly made a difference to how I had originally felt about going in the first place.

Dear Jools1,

I am delighted to hear how well you were treated when you visited the family history clinic. Your post is a wonderful reminder of how important it is to smile and be friendly. It can be easy in the hustle and bustle to forget what an impact these 'simple' things can have. If we could all be friendly and kind each time we meet, the difference to us all would be immeasurable.

Thank you so much for taking time to share this when the staff (particularly Caroline) read your kind words, I am sure you will make their day.
