Hello

I just wanted to get in touch to say thank you for the amazing support I received during the birth of my baby and in the days following her birth. The staff were incredibly supportive and caring. I would like to say a special thank you to Leanne, Jacqueline, Emma and Zoe in the induction suite. This is a fantastic unit with great facilities and they really made me feel at ease. 

If I am remembering correctly through the gas and air Louise and Kerry helped to bring our beautiful baby girl into the world and were great at encouraging me - I really hope I have your names right! The shift change happened right after our daughter was born and Sara took over. I think she may be one of the kindest people I have ever met. She really made us feel at ease and took fantastic care of us. I hope I am spelling her name correctly! 

We had to return to the hospital in the days following our daughter’s birth. I would like to thank Andy in the neo natal unit for taking care of our daughter and Helen in triage who took care of me. 

The community midwives who visited were also fantastic, especially Pamela and Elaine based in Dunfermline.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

Thank you for taking the time to send us your story.

I am pleased to hear that you had a positive experience and felt cared for and supported throughout despite having to return to the neonatal unit and triage.

The induction of labour suite is a relatively new unit developed by the midwives to improve experiences of women who require induction of labour. It is great to hear that you felt at ease in the unit and enjoyed the facilities available to you.

I will pass on your story to all of the staff that cared for you as it really does give them a boost to receive positive feedback.


I hope you are enjoying family time with lots of cuddles, while looking forward to Christmas.
