"Gets worse every time"

Rang to try to get an appointment for back problems. Told to ring the hub and saw a doctor that night. Rang back a week later for the same problem was told we are very busy with people with colds and flu and there was no appointments and to ring nhs phone number. Staff who answer phones seem to decide who gets to see or speak to doctors,are they medically trained? I’ve now paid to get my back sorted and hopefully will not need the bad services this medical centre offers in the near future.
