"swift reassurance at ENT"

About: James Paget University Hospital

I was referred to ENT by my GP with a possibility - only a possibility mind you, not suspicion of - throat cancer.

I was seen within a week, MRI’d and a biopsy taken within a further week and given the ‘all clear’ about 2-3 weeks after that. Max 5 weeks in the hands of the ENT team and handled every step of the way with care, sensitivity and, where appropriate, good humour. They really stepped-up at a time of crisis for me and encouraged well-deserved confidence in the system. Fantastic endorsement of our NHS and those that staff it.

Dear Chris

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback regarding the recent care your received at the Trust. Fantastic news also that you were given the 'all clear' after what I can imagine was a very worrying time for you. I have shared your lovely comments with the teams involved in your care who will be pleased that they had such a positive impact.

Kind Regards

Amanda Hood, Head of Patient Experience and Engagement
