"Poor bedside manners"

I attended the practice to have my annual flu jab last month. The practice nurse was about completely unfriendly, just as she was on the previous appointment I had with her. At the end of the procedure (which lasted less than 2 minutes) I asked her to inform me of my HbA1c level from a recent blood test I had had. She begrudgingly gave me the information (which was on the screen in front of her!) but added "we are on a tight schedule with flu jab clinics and don't really have time to look up such information". It took her longer to tell me that than it did to look at the screen in front of her.

In future, I shall ensure I book with the other practice nurse who is entirely of the opposite disposition: friendly, chatty and informative.

Hi Ray - thank you for leaving your comments after your last appointment for your flu jab. I know you left your comment back in November 2019 but I still wanted to reply, even at this late stage as ownership of the practice has changed. Hopefully you will have received your flu jab already again this year but if not please do get in touch with us. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to you at your last flu jab appointment - the flu clinics do have a tight schedule to adhere to but it's important that you are still given the opportunity to ask any questions about any other medical conditions. Going forward, do let us know if you would like to discuss anything else and we would always be happy to book another appointment to discuss this, and we can do this by telephone if you would prefer to save you having to come into the practice especially in the current environment. Please do get in touch with us if you have anything you are concerned about.
