On Sunday evening I got a bit of hay in my eye while feeding sheep. I hoped it would just work its way out but it didn't so we went to Out of Hours at St Andrews Community Hospital, Fife at about 5.30 pm.
We were seen immediately, treated very professionally, given the appropriate cream for my eye and were home again within the hour. Could not fault the treatment.
Had the incident been later in the evening, after nine o'clock, we would have had a forty five minute drive in the dark to Kirkcaldy to be seen and I don't think we would have gone and my eye would have suffered.
As a pensioner I am so grateful for the care we get from our hospital and those who work there.
"A foreign body in my eye"
