"Doctors with different advice for the same issue "

Daughter had bowel issues and we have been desperately seeking help. Was prescribed laxatives and told to come back in a week. Came back and a different doctor said stop taking those, and kept telling us to give her spinach ( she already has lots of this and other salad and veg ) but he didn’t listen. Then the same problems occurred so went back and was again told give Movicol. Also told us the other doc should never have stopped it! Went back a week later and dose was increased and a further appointment was booked for the next weds to follow up. Unfortunately we were seen by the same doctor who clearly thinks spinach is the cure to all problems . He said it is laxative misuse and he is worried and would only give us half a pack despite me saying we have nearly ran out and the dose was increased to 2 sachets twice a day. He then kept talking about spinach. Finally agreed after a lot of me pushing to make a referral and over a week later this has not been done. There are now no doctors in the surgery to talk to and I’ve been calling all day and getting no reply. Very unhappy with the conflicting information and not being taken seriously
