"The unit is a credit to the NHS"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Breast Clinic

(as a service user),

Having found a lump in my breast , my G.P. referred me to the Breast Centre Raigmore.

The service I received there was second to none. It is an extremely busy place with many women waiting for investigations and consultations. Despite this , I was treated with the utmost care and attention. 

The receptionist knew that my visit involved a flight and offered to validate all my documents without prompting. The nurse who collected me from reception explained what I could expect when I saw the Consultant. The Consultant was extremely polite and personable , even meeting me at the door to introduce himself. The radiographer and sonography were polite and efficient. After my investigations, a nurse took the time to explain how to look after myself ( even providing paperwork to remind me).

I am back for a second visit today and Diane has looked after me superbly - she has kept me informed of any delays and even brought me tea when she was aware that I would have a bit of a wait. I can’t thank this excellent team enough. This unit is an absolute credit to the NHS with outstanding patient care from the whole team.
