"No checks "

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

I accompanied a person with epilepsy who was having repeated partial seizures. Because they were not convulsing no checks were done apart from 2 blood pressure checks in 12 hours. The only medication given was 2 paracetamol. The person I was with was obviously not coming out of their seizures but no one did anything. We were sent away after the person being asked if they were ok. They were not in a fit state to answer but the doctor seemed to think it was ok to discharge them anyway. I suspect this had more to do with the dozen other trolleys in the corridor that had been there all night than the person’s condition.

I appreciate there are pressures but you are risking lives.
