I was admitted recently with severe dehydration and very high infection levels with what turned out to be pneumonia.
As someone who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis 2 years ago, this was potentially very dangerous.
I want to thank everyone who worked so quickly and efficiently to get me the prompt attention I needed. Following a visit to my GP in the afternoon and having various tests done, arrangements were made later in the day to admit me. I was eventually taken to Ward 7 respiratory ward
The room I was given was lovely and just what I needed to get well. The frequent mugs of tea were most welcome too! Essential to recovery!
All the staff I met were unfailingly pleasant and polite. They never ever made me feel patronised or that I was being a nuisance.
As for the food, I was pleasantly surprised! In the early days, I didn’t feel much like eating but there a wide choice of all type of meals..
I can highly recommend the roast Sunday dinner, the lasagne and the beef stew!
The NHS has problems yes, I saw evidence of shortages and I hope that they soon have the funds and the staff that they need.
However the care I got was second to none. Thank you all again !
"Thanks so much!!!"
