About: University Hospital Wishaw / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I had an appointment with the Endoscopy Unit at Wishaw General on Saturday for tests.

I was nervous and very anxious about the procedures. The whole experience in the Unit was good from entering at Reception until my exit Interview on leaving. Information was given to me/my wife at every step in the process and the Care ,attention and respect i received from every member of the Team was first class. I was put at ease to the best extent they could and i left with a copy of my Surgeons reports all within a few hours.

Im not sure what could have been done better as it was obvious that the process had been analysed from a patients point of view!

Thanks for responding. Im glad that my story got to the correct people. I meant everything I said and feel that if others in the same position were to hear this or similar it may make them feel less anxious.

I have some other health problems but am recovering from the issues connected with the tests in your Unit.

Keep up the good work and would say that after a long career in public service myself, I always seemed to achieve more when I looked at things from the service users point of view (As you guys very obviously have)

P.S I was only joking that the Tea could be improved it was very welcome but I like mint tea which makes me sound a bit too posh!
