Sent from Wishaw Hospital A&E to Monklands Hosp ENT, Ward 9. Side of face and neck had rapidly swollen overnight. Excellent treatment at Wishaw. At Monklands Dr Anna examined me and had a dentist give her confirmation of her diagnosis. Parotid salivary duct blockage.
The treatment she prescribed, with antibiotics as well, worked. I was given an appointment on Wednesday when I saw Dr Anna again and an ENT registrar, Dr Giovanni. Some more extensive examinations and reassurances that there was nothing more serious.
Letter arrived recently for an appointment for check-up.
