"Appalling lack of basic care"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford)

My father in his eighties, was admitted via ambulance. He waited for fifteen hours on a trolly, before being found a bed at 2.15am. During that time he was not offered any food or drink beyond sips of water for the first ten hours. The staff must find it distressing to have to leave older people for such lengthy periods of time. I sincerely hope that neither of my parents has the misfortune to need urgent treatment in Telford/Shrewsbury again.
