Admitted 4/11/2019 for surgery 5/11/2019Went for op at approx 1pm (upper left lobectomy) was back on ward for 6pm and out of bed for 8.30pm
Nothing was too much trouble for any OF the staff on OAK WARD.. From holding my hand when I cried to making me laugh when taking my chest drain out(and showing me the size of it when removed!!
OUCH lol
One lovely lady helped me wash my hair even tho her feet got soaked (she will know who she is)
From the bottom of my heart I thank the thertre group and my surgeon (who likes to argue that what he says goes,, I did avoid the mini trach,, thanks to my surgeon who did threaten me with it if I didn't cough properly!!
Any way went home 3 days later and now 2 weeks later am not needing anymore painkillers and planning a return to work in 2 weeks.. An amazing team of dedicated people.. Thankyou
"Amazing staff"
