"Worst A&E "

About: Barnet Hospital

I attended A&E with my 2 year old son yesterday 15/11/19 as he was struggling to breathe I jumped the que for starters as there was 10+ people waiting to book in, I was taken into peds A&E were he was seen by a nurse almost straight away he was very Ill and unwell and requires oxygen straight away. We was given a cubicle what for it had no sheets "Told there is no bed sheet available in A&E" so I sat on this filthy plastic bed and rested my son on my lap and used my coat to rest my head on. I was utterly disgusted as when I eventually got of the bed when dad arrived it hadn't been cleaned since the previous date 14th November 2019.

The nightmare didn't end there when my son can in his fever was 41c and advised he needed painkillers along with oxygen not once within over 2 hours didn't any nurse or anyone come into the cubicle to check on my son of provide any painkillers for the fever it was close to 3 hours where he was on continuous oxygen again no observation done did I call to find someone to assist.

I understand there is pressure on this A&E but the level of care fell disgusting below what is acceptable which left me feeling very angry.

My son was very poorly with no consideration or care by the staff in this A&E.
