Whilst visiting my grandmother in ward 13 in Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy I discovered she has been in for 3 days and no one has asked if she would like help to clean her teeth. The staff nurse on duty was very nice and kind but it astounds me as a nurse myself that this basic level is not being met despite there being several members of staff on duty. Extra attention to the things that matter to most of us would be appreciated.
