"Going to get blood taken"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a service user),

I arrived at Coabridge Health Centre  Phlebotomy clinic picked the next no. didnt even have the chance to sit down and Kim shouted my number.  She showed me the room to go into asked if I was okay and took the bloods required.  She put u at ease, asked if i had preference ie what arm to  use.   Kim just made u feel so special asking if there was anything else she could do for me,  offering to help me up from the chair,  I have 2 walking sticks,  opened the door to help me get out.

The only thing I felt was wrong with the visit was the fact there was no available water dispenser.   After the walk from the bus stop I could have been doing with a drink of water,

Hi Mrs Volvo

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience. I will make sure that Kim is aware of your nice kind thoughts. We have just recently extended our phlebotomy service so I am glad that it seems to be working well.

With regards to a water dispenser we have trialled these before and they did not work out. The pharmacy just round from the phlebotomy have bottles off water on sale if this is something you could use next time you are attending the service.

Thanks

Michelle
