I went to the surgery at 08:40 to hand in a urine sample and ask for a call back because I suffer with kidney infections and was experiencing symptoms. Unfortunately I didn’t receive a call back and attempted to call them 4 times at 16:00 hrs to find out what had happened in respect of my telephone appointment. The phone cut off whilst put on hold. Eventually I got through I was told that they attempted to call me at 09:30 am but I had no misssed calls and had been sat by my phone all day. I later received a call back and was asked to get to the surgery in 30mins and asked to take another urine sample as they had lost the first one I left earlier in the day. I saw the GP at 17:40 and although the tested my urine I had little faith in his expertise. I doubt he will send it off to the lab in my experience the infection is somtimes microscopic and will not show up on a dip stick until it is too late. We will see - this is the first experience of The New Kingsway Surgery and I wouldn’t recommend it - in fact even the feedback machine was not working - I am aware that they are using new systems and that there is bound to be some hiccups but the service I experienced was appalling.
