"World Diabetes Day invite poster"

About: Central Middlesex Hospital / Endocrinology

(as other),

I received an invite to this via WhatsApp to attend from the Brent integrated diabetes service. I already feel reticent about attending because I am so unhappy that I have this condition for every reason possible. Looking at the poster, for an event, there are absolutely no examples of a person like me on it. A man. Why is this? Your omission will not prevent me from attending however, I do think though needs to be given to the promotion and selection of images in your flyers, as in this case. It could be a reason not to attend an outreach for someone else.

I would like to know your thoughts on this and about your remedial work

Dear Mr Fox,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am sorry to hear that the poster was not wholly representative of the target audience, and this appears to have been an oversight on our behalf. We have shared your comments with the relevant service, and we can assure you that this will be taken in consideration the time such a poster is developed.

I would like to thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Kind regards

Anjali Patel

Patient Experience Manager
