"Keep cancelling travel nurse appointment"

About: Bridge View Medical

After booking two appointment over the phone on 21 Oct for my wife and myself with the travel nurse for the 4th and 6th of Nov (14 and 16 days of waiting). We were both sent a text earlier on the same day of the appointment saying that it had been cancelled. Luckily, after two calls to the surgery, I could reschedule mine for 12 Nov but we couldn't reschedule my wife's before going on holiday. Today, 11 Nov I have received another text saying tomorrow's appointment has also been cancelled and the I should call to reschedule.

This is unacceptable.

Both, my wife had and I will have to pay for vaccines that are free on the NHS.

I would understand if someone calls in sick one day and appointments have to be cancelled but we have had 3 cancellations spanning over more than a week. Surely something can be done so that people don't have to keep rescheduling.

We are really sorry that you have had this experience around travel vaccination. This is something we need to investigate properly so it would be really useful if you were able to write in to us providing some detail which of our sites you were talking to etc.
