"Emergency operation, ectopic and raptured tube"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as a service user),

Ward 13.... omg, words can not express my gratitude enough! I initially went to the hospital on Wednesday for a scan (1st appointment for a termination), to then be told, the pregnancy was ectopic, my Fallopian tube was ruptured and I would need surgery that day! I was in shock. Tbh I still am... the care I received was incredible! I cannot thank every nurse, every doctor enough. I was alone (my family didn’t even know of my pregnancy) and everyone there made me feel at ease. I know it’s their job to look after and take care of me.... but it’s not part of their job to take the time to make me feel like I’m not alone. I hope they get to see this! GET A PAY RISE! They deserve so much more, I owe them my life!
