"Very poor communication "

About: Guy's Hospital

My son saw the consultant about 10 months ago and suppose to have review in 9 months but we only managed to get the letter from the medical secretory after several attempts of calling and the letter read that the consultant will see my 13 year old son in 9 months but we did not receive any appointment so started calling them with no success but I kept calling the appointment desk but I was told that my son need to wait for another year.I called another medical secretory and asked about her name and informed her that I am getting no where with me calling several times every day in the last few days and told her that I will need to contact PALS or will write to the cheif executive or to our MR. She was reaLlysfaen helpful and after looking at the appointments she told me that my son is on the waiting list and has appointment on 13/12/2019 and asked me to call back the appointment desk again and tell them about this date is therefore called the appointment desk but was told there is no appointment for my son is therefore told her I need to speak to her line manager but he was busy and told me he will contact you in the afternoon .I told her that I will see our MP or might need to write to the priminster office .After about 5 minutes I received a call back and told that my son has appointment in about three weeks and I received text message of confirmation.

It took me three days and about 15 telephone call and spoke to 4 different people to get this appointment. Thanks God.I hope I never need dental clinic at guys hospital. The communication is extremely poor.
