(as a relative),

Mum has a terminal lung condition among other things and her wish is to stay at home and not go into hospital.

Mum is being looked after at home by me. ICST Carluke team have been involved with my mum's care.   This service has been a great benefit to my mum and me, I cannot fault the service that they are providing, and gives me reassurance knowing that they are there. They have treated mum with great care and attention. I cannot praise them enough.

Thank you for taking the time to post your message on Care Opinion at this very difficult time. It is really appreciated. This time you have with your mum is very precious. It is very humbling to know that we are helping you to care for your mum, and achieve her wish of remaining at home. I will, of course, make sure that the team see the message.

Having a 24 hour ICST service can be very reassuring to patients and families, knowing that they can call on us at any time to offer support and help, particularly in very difficult and distressing times.
