"Very poor practice"

About: The Westgate Practice

It wasn't until I moved to a Brownhills practice that I realised just how overcrowded and low resourced this practice is!!! I contacted this practice when I was first pregnant having no idea who to contact or what to do next to be told "we don't have a midwife and this practice anymore, you have to contact your own." Then the phone being put down on me ... Ok, where the hell do I find a midwife??? .. If I wanted to see a doctor there was a three week wait time and if you call in the morning to get a last minute appointment you have no chance! They are all gone by 8.05am!! Love lichfield and very excited to be moving back but I am very anxious about finding a good practice after having such bad experiences at this one, especially now I have a baby! Will certainly not be trying this one!!!

We are very sorry that you feel you did not have a good experience when you were registered with the practice. We do constantly review the needs of our patients and endeavour to effectively use the resources we have available to us. Lichfield has an ever growing population which, as with many areas across the UK, brings with it challenges in terms of the provision of health care.
