Before I get onto my issue I would like to start of by praising the nurses within the outpatient dept for being very efficient and friendly. I was initially very impressed and all seemed to be going well.
However when I then saw the Consultant he had no idea why I was there ie no notes or anything. My GP practice in conjunction with the click and book referral people had ensured all notes were sent to the hospital including the very important echo cardiogram! It appears that the clinic coordinators had neglected to pass the notes to my consultant hence he was totally unaware of my issues and it was a totally wasted trip! I am sure having Aortic Valve issues can be potentially dangerous if not looked into ASAP and for this to not happen as a result of a basic admin mess up is very frustrating indeed!
"Totally Unacceptable"
