"Shambles"

About: Kettering General Hospital

What a shambles the A and E was no seats cubicles or wheelchairs. I was taken in by ambulance recommend by my up I was 1 week post knee replacement very immobile there was no cubicles free no wheelchairs I was left in a corridor on a plastic chair 4 hours later my wife managed to find a wheelchair when I was on the verge of collapse in agony and vomiting I had been discharged 4 days earlier in the same state from the Ashton Ward shouldn't have happened. The A and E was dirty paper tissues and cotton wool and papers all over the floor.

The doctors and Nurses were doing the best they could with the conditions they were under.

This department needs tightening up it's an accident and emergency not somewhere to go because they carnt get A gp appointment stronger checks should be in place to stop this after all the out of hours was next door and didn't seem that busy

I am so sorry to hear that you felt your recent visit to A&E at Kettering General Hospital fell below what is expected. I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and I am very disappointed to hear that your experience of using our service was not as positive as it should have been. Your comments will be shared with the team to raise awareness and to ensure that there is a continuous focus on improving the quality of care we provide to our service users.
