"Not fit for purpose "

About: The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

I had a stroke/brain bleed in March this year. Rushed to hospital.Newcastle R. V. I. Waited 6 hours in A&E after seeing Triage nurse telling him of feeling ill Blurred vision in left side of left eye and that I was suffering with bowel lung and liver cancer

I was complaining many times

Constantly being told your next your next. and eventually just gave up and went home.as I needed my morphine.

Two days later rang docs who sent me straight to casualty at cramlington.who were concerned about the cancer going to my brain. I was in hospital 5 days then sent home and told not to drive for a month by a doctor at North Tyneside N. H. S. Who just asked me do you know why your here. And don’t drive. More interested in the driving than the stroke. My wife asked me what the hell was the point of that visit. I was asked to attend cramlington for a scan £30taxi and when I got there told they didn’t need a scan and that R. V. I. Had results.

now 7mths later I have NOT seen a single person as regards the stroke. They sent me for a scan. I attended had scan with contrast. No follow up. No contact from the hospital

I was supposed to go for a scan today. What’s the point. I don’t see and never have seen anyone from Neurologist to a nurse.

Or if you send me the scans perhaps I can give them a quick once over for you. Newcastle R. V. I. Your a joke

. As for your A&E. well if you can’t pick up on a stroke your not fit for purpose this along with fighting bowel. Lung and liver cancer. Newcastle R. V. I. Hang your head in shame.
