Thank you for the kindness shown during my colonoscopy on Saturday.  I was quite anxious about the procedure but everyone was incredibly kind and very caring.  In both the Endoscopy department and then in A&E after my type one diabetes had caused issues. 

 

The procedure was carefully explained and completely pain free.  I was treated with dignity and care at all times.

Good Morning Clare,

Thank you for responding I have sent an email to the address above.

Although hospital care is often a scary prospect for most type 1 diabetics and whilst with East Surrey I have personally experienced the (usually) very, very good, occasionally the bad and very infrequently the truly terrible. I would like to reiterate that the staff encountered both doctors and nurses in the endoscopy department and A&E on Saturday were incredibly kind and caring with a good knowledge of diabetes. I have no fear about attending this department again. I have nothing but positives to say.
