My 85 year old mother has just had knee surgery and we were attending a follow up appointment. The care she received in the clinic was good. However, my poor review is regarding the parking situation for holders of Blue Badges. What I would like to know is why the designated disability parking is outside the main hospital entrance and the Orthopaedic Clinic is many hundreds of yards away, adjacent to the A&E Dept? Many of the people attending the clinic were on sticks/crutches and a fair percentage were of the same age as my mother. There isn't even a drop off point outside A&E and the Blue Badge parking was cordoned off. She is currently on two sticks, but doesn't yet feel confident walking by herself. I had to leave her, in the rain, until I parked outside the main entrance and walked back to A&E.
"Blue Badge parking is extremely poor."
