"I was very happy with my first experience in..."

I rang 111 on Sunday. I had woken up on the floor, after being unconscious in the morning and wasn't quite sure what I should do next. I received two timely, call back phone calls, one from a nurse and one from a clinician. All three people I spoke to, were very helpful, kind and reassuring. I already have pneumonia and a spinal injury. I was offered an ambulance and or a GP visit, but I decided it was unnecessary and I would wait till Monday and get a visit from my GP who had been already informed about what had happened from 111. I think it is a very reassuring service, if something goes wrong, you are not sure how to deal with it and you don't think you require an ambulance. I was very impressed.
