"waiting times shambles"

I was referred by my GP to see a Gastro-Liver consultant...they told me i will hear from them by end of July...i called end of July and they said you have to wait till end of August. I called end of August they said wait till end of September. I called today (30th October) only to be told i may have to wait for up to 40 weeks !!!!! Earliest they may see me is April 2020. Why don't elements of NHS just close up shop and go home...Why didn't anyone back in July or August say sorry we have no one available try another health trust?

Unless you have cancer or literally dying they don't care.....
