"Rude, unhelpful receptionist"

I brought my 18 month old son in to the walk in centre on a Saturday morning after he had had an accident and cut his head. I came to the centre after the NHS 111 phone service had advised us to the treat the cut at home but I wasn't happy with the way it looked and wanted to find out if it would require a stitch or glue. The receptionist was awful. I explained what had happened and was met with complete disinterest and all she could tell me, in a very dismissive manner, was that the nurse wasn't coming for another hour and there were already people in a queue. No suggestions or advice on where we could seek further help was offered. It was only when we sat down to think about where we could go next (I don't live in the area), that a nice gentleman in the waiting area told us that a Doctor was in the building. The receptionist failed to tell us this - which given my son's age and the fact that were were both clearly upset - was something that I believe should have been communicated to try and help us. I went back to the reception desk and asked if the Doctor could have a look at my son. After a quick look, the Doctor said that we'd most probably need to get the wound glued but couldn't say whether the nurse due in later would be able to do it. At which point, completely dissatisfied with the level of care and, we decided to drive over to Grantham hospital accident and emergency where we received excellent care.
