"extremely unhelpful, obnoxious, rude receptionist"

While waiting to see the doctor, another patient handed a form in at reception - a form regarding disability benefits that needed to be completed by the doctor so that he could keep his benefits. The unhelpful receptionist told him that he needed to write an accompanying letter before she could accept the form. The man became distressed and tried to argue with her. It soon became obvious to me that the reason he was reluctant to write an accompanying letter was that he was INCAPABLE of doing so. The unhelpful receptionist was oblivious to this. She offered to help him write it. He became more distressed as he was clearly INCAPABLE of writing. They argued, while I watched, horrified and amazed. Eventually, I stood up and said that I would write the letter for him. The poor man was extremely greatful. The receptionist was oblivious to the pain she had caused him.
