"Made it all very straightforward"

About: Borders General Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a relative),

My husband had to have a colonoscopy this morning for worrying symptoms. He naturally was not looking forward to an unpleasant test and fearful about the potential result. But a very big thank you to the staff of the endoscopy unit, for your efficiency and skilful care which made it all very straightforward. Especially   S/Nurse Sally who was exceptional - she was friendly, empathetic, explained everything clearly, and generally looked after him with much kindness. Thank you.

Dear HappyHamish

I am sorry to hear that your husband required a colonscopy as I appreciate that this would have been a very worrying time for you both.

I was so pleased to hear that the staff in Endoscopy provided an excellent service for your husband and that Sally looked after him with kindness. I have shared your story with Sally who I am sure will be delighted to hear how at ease she made your husband feel during such a worrying experience.

Thanks again,

Karen
