"Immunisation anxiety"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Immunisation Service

(as a service user),

We were referred to the hospital for my son's immunisation as he was extremely anxious about receiving this at school.

We arrived early to the appointment and did not have to wait. Bev was the nurse in attendance and could not have been more reassuring and caring to my son, putting him at ease. Bev detailed every step and reassured him she would not do anything without explaining it first. She calmed him down with breathing techniques when he became very upset.  He had the vaccine and left with a smile on this face.

Thank you.

Hello

Thank you for leaving your feedback, I have shared this with Bev, Bev's manager and her team leader. Bev was one of our award winning colleagues on Friday evening at Locala's colleague awards evening. The award she received was to appreciate her consistent approach towards patient care and her kind and caring attitude.

Thank you again

Emma
