I was referred by my GP to gynaecology for abnormal heavy bleeding and on internal, a lump was found and they were unsure what it was. I then waited 15 weeks to be seen by gynaecology, having to go back to my GP in between for it to be chased up and for help as I was getting worse. Saw gynae and after an internal ultrasound was told I need investigative operation, endometrial biopsy and polypectomy via a hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic. I had my pre op on in September where I was informed the waiting times were good and I would be done soon. However after phoning last week to add myself to the cancellation list as my symptoms are getting worse I have now been told they are so far behind it will most likely be January before I’m seen which means it could be about 20 weeks from my gynae appointment, and a massive 35 weeks since my referral from GP.. I’m unsure where to go from here I struggle daily with pain and bleeding.
