"The lady in Phototherapy is superb"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

The lady that runs Phototherapy is simple the best. I can't mention your name, sorry.

I am not one to leave feedback but felt compelled to leave feedback for others that have to undergo phototherapy. The department for phototherapy is run from the main Dermatology unit within Lincoln County Hospital. The lady that runs phototherapy, is the kindest and most patient person I think I have ever met.

I was feeling very depressed when I met her. She put me at ease from the moment we sat down to discuss my problems. Her beautiful nature makes you feel at ease and I was easily able to discuss my problems and the impact it has on my life. I am overweight and very conscious of how I look. She is so respectful of this, she kept me covered up until the last moment and was there to greet me afterward with my gown. It was all done so discreetly and without any fuss or bother. I had previously suffered a very bad car accident, being trapped inside the car had made me very claustrophobic. She stood and spoke to me throughout my time in the machine, balancing other patients and answering numerous phone calls etc, never once getting phased by the large workload. She is completely and utterly patient-focused. Running this busy unit all on her own, It is still absolutely spotless, organized and a happy place to come to. I have met through the lady that runs it, many people with my condition, I have also laughed more because of her, she makes it feel so easy to do, even though it is very demanding and hard to achieve with daily living. (treatment is 3 times a week ). When you do hit the low times and no longer want to attend, she is there to coax and keep you going. She is the breath of fresh air that is needed in the NHS. Above and beyond are words that do not even start to describe her. So thank you, for holding my hand and hundreds of others through this unwanted process, we could not have done it without YOU! I feel sure that there will be numerous people who read this and nod their heads in agreement.

* Massive thanks have to go to my dermatologist who is simply the best Dermatologist I have ever seen. He is so kind and extremely caring. He diagnosed my problem within 5 minutes of meeting him,I had been taking numerous drugs for about a year from my GP that were not working. His treatment has worked and it is slowly getting much better, fingers crossed I now have pain free skin.
