"Long wait to see doctor"

About: Dewsbury & District Hospital

Elderly patients. Waited 4 hours for nurse to see her. Doctor still later. Said it was 'very busy'.

Later in Car park at 2.15 am. The pay station was very dark, nobody around. Fee was £5.00 , but machine would only take coins. No debit or credit and no notes. Ridiculous, this needs attention.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience.

I am sorry to read of the problems you have experienced in relation to your recent outpatient appointment. It is unfortunately that at times, our clinic do overrun however, I would expect staff to continually update patients waiting to see one of our Nurses/Doctors. I am sorry if this did not happen.

In relation to the car parking machines, we are in the process of updating our machines to take card payment which, hopefully, should be done in the next few weeks. However, I can only imagine how frustrating this must have been for you and for this I am sorry.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn
