1. I have recently suffered two almost consecutive bouts of shingles and an appointment was made for me to have the vaccination. I rearranged a social engagement to attend the clinic only to be told that I was the wrong age..very frustrating! I also attended an appointment to change a medication which was giving me mouth ulcers as a side effect. ( cerebrex ) this has been ignored. At the same consultation I complained about numbing of my fingers and toes. Blood tests were ordered and I have not heard anything since. I have already been through this process. I have tried for several hours, I am not exaggerating: and the phone is permanently engaged. Even if I were to be answered all they would tell me is that the test results were OK. I will still be suffering from numbness but there is no follow up procedure to progress my complaint. If I suffer from a genuine complaint and the blood tests are normal it doesn’t cure my problem. Where is the proactive element of my care? Whilst I am writing this complaint I have continuously tried to telephone the surgery with no result... always the engaged tone.
