"Terrible signs for a Sunday "

About: Calderdale Royal Hospital

Went with my dad for a ct scan, he is very unsteady on his feet, can't stand for long and had a full bladder. It was on a Sunday and the normal entrance. on level 1 was locked. No signs to tell us where to go. One nurse said follow sign for A&E,, when we got there we were told we had to go to the end, which we did. After no seeing anything we asked a cleaner who told us we had passed the door and showed us which it was. After walking down a long corridor we got to where we were supposed to be. After he was seen we had the same problems getting out with another lady following us. By the time we got to the main entarance my dad was exhausted and needed to sit down.

If you are going to close an entrance make sure you give public clear directions.

Make sure your staff realize that we can't just go to a department if we don't know where it is and there are no signs.

My first experience of calderdale is a very bad one.
