About: Substance to Solution

(as a service user),

I started treatment for heroin misuse.   Due to a failed relationship that hurt me we had been together 12 years with 2 kids, I lost my home and everything in it.   After many months of my key worker talking to me I began to use less and less and now I haven't used any opiates for about 5 months, I've stopped thinking of them as well.   Also I had a Hep C test which was positive and my treatment was started straight away.   It was totally successful and painless (just pills) overall I feel like I've got control back in my life now.   I've still got a way to go but I'm not running round all day trying to score drugs anymore!
