I have been at the freeman now since 0955hrs for my partners endoscopy appt which was scheduled for 1015hrs, it is now 1205hrs and she has only just gone in. You would like to think a department that depends on a lot of their patient not being able to eat prior to procedure they would make a curtain effort to run on time, if this was a one off I wouldn’t be leaving this review but this happens all the time. If myself or my partner didn’t turn up for an appt I would get a snotty letter followed by having to go through the referral process again, if We were late we would have the appt cancelled and have to wait months for a new one. So why is it the hospital feel it is acceptable for patient and relatives to sit for hours in an uncomfortable waiting area with nothing happening whilst a receptionist who is blatantly ill coughs and splutters over the patent notes she’s working on, as well as possible spreading germs in patient that are already immunosuppressed. Fingers crossed we get out of here before 1400hrs and without something that means I will need to take sick time off work .
"How long do I wait??"
