Was decanted to ward 309 for a small procedure which was being carried out by the emergency general surgery team. 

The ward environment was clean, quiet and peaceful. I was looked after tremendously well; particularly by a  young Australian nurse who has recently moved to work for NHSG, and another young nurse who was on her first shift on the ward having changed jobs. Unfortunately I cannot recall names. But overall the care was exceptional, and whilst my room was tucked away at the back of the ward, staff were frequently in to check on me and offer refreshments. Well done team!

Thank you for your lovely post on Care Opinion regarding your care by the nursing staff on ward 309 recently and also the environment. I have shared this with the senior charge nurse and she is delighted the care your received especially by a nurse recently recruited from Australia and a nurse who has just moved from another area to work with us. She will ensure your kind words are cascaded with them and the rest of the team. I will also share with the domestic supervisor the cleanliness of the ward to ensure the domestic is congratulated.
