"Reassuring service"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 21-23)

(as the patient),

I was admitted into A&E early in the morning in September ( around 8am) after badly breaking my ankle, even though I am a nurse myself I was anxious and worried, all the staff on duty that morning were fantastic, I felt reassured and confident that I was getting the best care, a special mention to the Charge Nurse on duty (I’ve forgotten names) who  expertly manipulated and reduced my fracture, within the space of around an hour, I had been given pain relief, had my fracture reduced with sedation, backslab applied ( in the fracture clinic) and x ray carried out,  I have had further ongoing visits to the fracture clinic ( I also required surgery) and have received from the staff there including the trauma liaison nurses  excellent care and reassurance. I really can’t praise the care enough or thank everyone enough involved in my care!!

Dear LHK,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such lovely comments. It is always reassuring for staff to know that they have made a positive difference to a patient's experience at such a distressing time.

I trust that you are now well on the road to recovery.

Kind Regards

Heather

Dear LHK

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your positive journey through the Emergency Department in what must have been a traumatic time for you.

I will make sure that all staff are aware that their hard work is valued.

In order to feedback directly to the members of staff that dealt with you I would need the date which you attended, however no other details.

I hope you are recovering well!

Stephen
