"The care was 1st class and I have no complaints"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Clinical haematology

(as the patient),

I have just been for an appointment at the haematology department at Cross House Hospital and from the minute I walked in the care was 1st class and I have no complaints.

I was very impressed with the timeliness of the service as my appointment was at 9am and I was seen just after this time. All the staff were pleasant and professional from the receptionist, phlebotomist to the doctor.

If I had to suggest one improvement there could have been a water drinking facility available for patients. (there may have been one and I didnt see it).

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear jimnic,

Thank you for taking time to share this with us. I am pleased to hear your care was so good, just what you need.

I am not entirely sure if there is drinking water facilities (I think that there is) but I am sure that the staff would be happy to provide drinking water on any visit. I will be sharing this post with the team so they will be able to look into rectifying this if there is no facility.

Thank you for both your kind words and and for raising the drinking water, I will endeavour to feedback the answer on Care Opinion.

Best wishes,

Eunice.

Thank you jimnic,

Please forgive me for ‘jumping’ on the drinking water aspect of your post. I think I am ‘hard-wired’ to try to improve what often seems like the ‘small’ things as they can become the big things (for some people) and often the easiest to solve.

I shared your post with the team and I am sure they will be more than delighted with this lovely recap which underlines how you felt about your care.

Best wishes,

Eunice
